How does a weighted plush toy work?
The weight applies gentle, even pressure to the body: deep pressure stimulation (DPS). It feels like a firm hug and helps your body relax.
Is a weighted stuffed animal only for children?
Not at all. In fact, many adults love it: on your lap on the couch, snuggled up beside you in bed, or simply held close for a moment after a busy day. Children love it too, of course.
From what age is it suitable?
From 3 years old. A child must be able to lift and move the cuddly toy away on their own. Never place it over a young child’s face, and keep an eye on them if they fall asleep with it.
How do I remove the weight bags?
There are three 250-gram weight pouches inside the belly, behind a hidden zipper on your buddy’s back or side. Open the zipper, take out one, two, or all three, and close it again. This lets you adjust the weight from 1.25 to 2 kg, just the way you like it.
What is the plush toy filled with?
Inside is a mix of ceramic bead filling and soft polyester filling. The beads give it weight, while the filling makes it lovely and soft and cuddly.
Can the plush toy be machine-washed?
Preferably not. First remove the weight packets, clean the plush toy with a damp cloth and a little mild soap, and let it air-dry. The packets themselves should never go in the washing machine or dryer.
